What is a good digital camera for taking photos at a concert?
I have the Kodak V803 and it is horrible for concert photos, I’ve used a friends Panasonic Lumix camera but the model is discontinued. I want a higher Mega Pixel camera that it good for concert pictures.. any suggestions are welcome. I am looking to spend less than $400.
At a concert in May with about a 50 piece orchestra and singers I had a lot of luck. But then I did take 130 shots, yes many were blurry, but to my amazement most were quite good. Although I don’t have an f/2 lens my f/2.8 did quite well. I think what helped the most was my 12X optical zoom lens.
And also remembering catching the artists with no movement.That’s hard to do. Of course using flash would have been useless. Most of my shots were between 204MM and 288MM. So if you can get a camera with an F/2 lens, fine. I suggest more optical zoom than 6X , and image stabilizer.
PS I left ISO setting on auto, and found out later that most of my shots were taken at ISO 320.
